PowerCity Bridge (PortalX)

PowerCity's cross-chain solution is primarily through PortalX (portalxswap.io), a bridge and DEX aggregator designed to make it easy to bring funds into PulseChain from other chains. It aggregates routes for swaps and transfers, allowing users to move assets from many blockchains directly into PulseChain tokens.

Key Features of PortalX / PowerCity Bridge

  • Non-custodial aggregator: Finds the best routes across bridges and DEXes for cross-chain transfers/swaps.
  • Supported flows: From various EVM chains to PulseChain (often via stablecoins like USDC/USDT/DAI or wrapped assets).
  • Goal: Simplify onboarding to PulseChain by handling bridging + swapping in fewer clicks where possible.
  • Website: portalxswap.io (main tool associated with PowerCity).
1

Prepare Your Wallet

  • Use MetaMask, Rabby, or another EVM-compatible wallet.
  • Ensure you have the source asset on the source chain (e.g., USDC on Ethereum, Base, BSC, Arbitrum, etc.).
  • Add the PulseChain network to your wallet (Chain ID: 369; RPC and details on pulsechain.com).
  • Have a small amount of native gas token on the source chain (e.g., ETH, BNB) for fees.

3

Connect Your Wallet

  • Click Connect Wallet.
  • Select and connect on your source chain/network.
4

Set Up the Transfer/Swap

  • Select the source token and chain (e.g., USDC on Base or Ethereum).
  • Select the destination: PulseChain and your desired token (e.g., USDC on PulseChain, PLS, HEX, or others).
  • Enter the amount you want to send.
5

Review Routes and Execute

  • The aggregator will show available routes (bridges + swaps).
  • Choose the best one (lowest fee, fastest, or highest output).
  • Approve any necessary token spending (first time only).
  • Confirm the transaction(s) in your wallet.
  • For multi-step routes, the tool may guide you through or batch where possible.

Receive and Verify on PulseChain

  • Switch your wallet to the PulseChain network.
  • Check your balance for the received tokens.
  • Use scan.pulsechain.com to verify the transaction if needed.

Estimated time: Varies by route (minutes to ~30+ minutes depending on the underlying bridge and confirmations).  Stablecoin routes from low-fee chains like Base are often quickest.

Tips for Success

  • Best for stables — Bridging USDC/USDT/DAI from Base, BSC, Arbitrum, or Ethereum is common and efficient.
  • Start small — Test with a small amount to understand fees, timing, and route-specific steps.
  • Compare routes — PortalX shows multiple options; pick based on total cost and speed.
  • Gas fees — Source chain gas applies; choose low-fee source chains when possible.
  • Liquidity on PulseChain — After arrival, check PulseX (app.pulsex.com) for good liquidity when swapping bridged assets.
  • Verify everything — Double-check addresses, approvals, and the official site URL.
  • Network switching — Be comfortable switching networks in your wallet.
  • Fees — Expect bridge fees + any swap slippage; aggregator aims for optimal routes.
  • Privacy & security — Non-custodial, but always manage your own keys and use hardware wallets for large amounts.
  • Alternatives — If PortalX routes aren't ideal, consider the official PulseChain bridge, Liberty Swap, Rubic, or others on pulsechain.com.
  • Updates — Check docs.powercity.io or @POWERCITYio on X for latest supported chains and features.

PowerCity's broader ecosystem (CORE staking, vaults, etc.) is built around supporting PulseChain, with PortalX as the key onboarding tool.  For the most current interface and supported pairs, visit portalxswap.io directly.  Start small, verify transactions, and enjoy the lower fees and speed once on PulseChain.
